A short animated film complete in 24 hours by Team Apple Sauce (6 very talented and dedicated animators).
Our team consisted of six animation majors from Bradley University (four seniors, a junior, and a sophomore) who all spend 24 hours dedicated to telling the delightful story of Darrell the Penguin.
At noon on Saturday, February 12, we received the theme of “warm.” We soon started work brainstorming, story boarding and planning. Tasks were then divided to fit our specialties.
Assets
I created some of the assets including, the bus, the martini glass, the straw, the incense toucan, the sand penguin, the luggage, the welcome home sign, the stickers, and the Mount Rushmore postcard.
Animations
I animated the underwater scuba scene and the ending scene where Darell “warms his heart.”
I also was in charge of compositing the end credit sequence along with the sound design for the whole animation.
We are incredibly proud of our teamwork, dedication, and final product. Our team made incredible time, even having time for a critique around 5am. We hope you enjoy our story as much as we do!
